How to show Field from Quotes to Sales Order to Project

We have a couple specific fields that are captured on the quote transaction record. It is a drop down list. Once that selection is made, I would like the same field value to push to the Sales Order when created and then to the Project when it is created off the Sales Order. How do I accomplish this?
