Charge Based Project and Inventory Item

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to create a Purchase Charge rule for Inventory items? The SuiteAnswers always mentions non-inventory and service items, but it doesn't seem to specify if Inventory is possible or not. If not, what is the workaround for this? Thanks!
