Why are fully fulfilled and billed order lines still show in Sales Order?

A quick question. When the sales order is fulfilled, shipped, billed, and invoiced, why are these orders still showing in the sales order form? If the orders are invoiced, they are supposed to be not viewable in the sales order form. Please advise! Thank you!
