Unable to save project record in the form that is not preferred.

Hi, I have multiple custom project forms and whenever I switch the preferred form setting from one to another, NetSuite changes the form for all the excising project records accordingly. Also, I am not able (in admin role) to save the project in the form that is not defines as the preferred at that moment.

Can someone please help?
