Public Saved Search but One Role Can Edit

Hi,

I don't understand how to achieve this. I want the saved search to be available to all (public). I want only one person or one role to be able to edit it other than me, the owner. How do I do this? I tried to allow audience to edit and then select the role but that removed the public check box. Thanks.
