Saved search using multi select field as criteria

Under the Contact record there is a multi select field 'Category'. The list contains A, B, and C, and the 'Category' can be any combination of the 3.

I'm having trouble to get the accurate results using 'Category' as search criteria. What would be the proper search criteria if I only want the results to show the contacts with A as the SOLE category selection? In other words, if a contact has A and B as selections (or A and C, or A, B and C), the contact will not be in the search result.

What about if I want to show contacts with A and B under 'Category'?
