Saved search to highlight opps that have been in specific entity status

Hello there, i'm looking to build an Opportunity saved search for all Lost Opportunities, but will show all those that have been through a particular entity status (in this case, Design), and if possible the duration it spent in this status. I've built similar searches in the past but fully aware this is tricky, particularly so as we have a lot of custom entity statuses, but would appreciate any advice about how to do this, if we can't measure duration in Design status i'd be happy enough to have a search that at least confirmed which lost opportunities went through
