Default checkbox in new inventory item creation

When setting up a new inventory item, can Netsuite default the checkbox as unchecked for Auto-Calculate Preferred Stock Level and Auto-Calculate Reorder Points? Better yet, default them as unchecked and make them uneditable by role?
