Unbuilding an assembly.

So I have unbuilt all assemblies to a WO that was in built status, do I need to also delete the ASSYB#'s to clear the WO so it will go back into in process status so I can build against it correctly? I built 2 assemblies for the same WO without using components that need to go into the build. After unbuilding it still shows the WO as BUILT. Any help is appreciated!
