Why does the amount remaining field show different results?

Hi there

I have a bill payment that is not fully applied to bills.

When I retrieve this on a saved search, I can see the amount remaining.

If I have the saved search as a 'sublist' on the vendor record, there is no amount shown even though the field is the same and so is the transaction type:
