FAM Asset Disposal - Sale Disposal in Arears
Hello, looking for guidance again and turning to the best NetSuite minds I know!
We are still learning FAM and have completed the tutorials but this is not really covered in my research.
Facts:
- We have a several fixed assets that need to be disposed of as a sale.
- We loaded our FAM records in the system last Sept, assets were sold in October.
- We did NOT understand how to record the sale through the system so:
- depreciation was halted by removing the future depreciation amounts past the sale in Oct.
- Regular JE was created to remove the asset value and account for the income from the sale.
