Latitude and Logitude Coordinates

Has anyone had success editing the Latitude and Longitude fields on a customer address record? This article in Avalara knowledge center indicates this can be done on the customer record. I am able to see the fields in view mode but the fields are not editable/available in the UI when in edit mode.
