Request: Asset Transfer Percentage-wise from Subsidiary 1 to Subsidiary 2(Percetage wise)
We need guidance and assistance for performing a partial (percentage-based) fixed asset transfer in NetSuite.
Scenario:
- Source Subsidiary: ABCD India (Subsidiary 1)
- Target Subsidiary: XYZ (Subsidiary 2)
- Transfer Requirement: 7% of selected assets to XYZ and retain 93% in ABCD India
- Depreciation for these assets has already been posted for October and November 2025
- Goal: Maintain accurate Fixed Asset sub-ledger, GL impact, and audit trail
Request:
- Please confirm if NetSuite supports a percentage-based asset transfer across subsidiaries.
- Provide the recommended approach / workaround if direct percentage transfer is not available.
- Clarify impact on already posted depreciation and steps to ensure correct depreciation going forward.
