Inventory Count (IC) issues

When creating an inventory count the "count quantity" field and detail are always greyed out for inventory or assembly items. See attached picture. We can't use this feature and have had to use the Inventory Worksheet instead however it is over 2300 items and we find that after we get thru a couple pages Netsuite glitches and we lose all of the data we had entered in the first couple pages. Was hoping to use the Inventory Count sheets instead but don't have the option to enter counts.
