Manufacturing > Total Quantity Needed
Hello Team,
We plan to create 3 Assembly Items:
- Red Velvet 6"
- Red Velvet 12"
- Batter (also an Assembly Item as this can be produced separately)
Both the 6" and 12" cakes will use the same Batter Assembly Item. The only difference is the quantity of batter and the packaging included in the BOM.
Example:
- Red Velvet 6" uses 1 kg of Batter
- Red Velvet 12" uses 2 kg of Batter
If an order includes 5 pcs of 6" and 7 pcs of 12", is there an easy way to automatically calculate the total kg of Batter required, so the Production team knows how much Batter to produce in a Work Order?
Alternatively, is there a more efficient setup or BOM structure you would recommend?
