SuiteScript Sourcing and Filtering

I have created a custom field on the Suitelet page that displays the accounting period. I know that to source values from a record, we can use the source parameter. However, I want to know if there is a way to apply filtering similar to what we can do in a custom field (see below image)



Also accounting period list label are not how i wanted. can label also be changed?
