Mainly due to tariffs—but also factors like lead time—we are purchasing the same items from multiple countries. We need a simple, reliable way to track the country each unit was sourced from. This is especially important for shipping documentation where the country of manufacture is required.

I know lot control could technically address this, but it’s far more complex than we need and would be very disruptive for Operations. We already use multi‑bin, and inventory from different countries is physically separated by bins. However, that bin structure doesn’t help us systemically determine which country’s inventory was actually shipped when generating paperwork.
