Smart Count - Updating Next Inventory Count Date

I'm trying to set up Smart Count so that next inventory count date is dynamically updated based on the last inventory count date which updates automatically after a count is approved. However, looking at the locked field settings, it appears to just be a date field that doesn't have any sourcing or formulas.

I can of course update it via CSV import, but has anyone had success or run into this issue with making it dynamic?
