Creating a Custom Role to provide accesses to all Asset Books

edited Aug 4, 2017 11:05PM in Applications Security 1 comment

Summary

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to create a custom role to allow accesses to all asset books

Content

To assign an asset book to a user, you use the Manage Data Access for Users task from the Setup and Maintenance work area. You need to create assignments for individual asset books.

Sometimes, a user may need access to data from all asset books. While such accesses can be granted by assigning every asset book to the user, this process may not be efficient for a large number of asset books. In addition, if you create a new asset book after the initial implementation, you will need to manually assign the new asset book to the user.
