How does Oracle push pdfs from the cloud?

The Oracle system is exporting PDF files but they come down with a .TMP file extension instead of a PDF extension.

Oracle told us to browse for the PDF reader (Foxit) to open them and register that as the default for TMP files.

Is there someone can derive a better solution than registering Foxit to be the default program associated with TMP files? That doesn’t sound like a good idea to me.
