Creating a "User" Report

Best Practices for Creating a BI Report for User DataContent
Hello,
Can anyone share their thoughts or practices on creating a "user" type of report via BI Reporting? For example, I would like to be able to pull users based on a range of their hire dates or on a specific job role assignment. I'm using the Users data view, but when I try to join it with other data views (ie. disabled users, LC membership, login progress) I seem to be getting a different number of results each time so I don't want to rely on the data I've been pulling so far. Does anyone have or use a report
