BI Report for Learning Plan - How to include VILT

I have a report set up for a Learning Plan Status and currently I'm running it on the ILT EVENT to encompass multiple sessions/enrollment and determine status (of course).
I need to include those who have been enrolled (and potentially completed) the Virtual ILT version of this training.
HOW do I get the VILT to come through either the Learning Plan or get something that I can report out on in BI Reporting? At this point I'd be OK with running two separate reports and comparing them.
Should I just create a different category for VILT and map the categories to the LP? Will that work?
