New Simplified Merit Required Actions
Summary
Required Actions if you use Merit Feature in EPBCS WorkforceContent
As I’m sure you all know by reading the “What’s New” document every month, we released a “Simplified Merit Increase” change to EPBCS Workforce. Basically, I’m trying to get to what I consider the standard practice of simply applying a Merit % increase to all salaries without having to follow any type of Meets Expectations, Exceeds Expectations, etc. performance rating by loading/assigning a value to every Employee in the OWP_Performance Account, which is driven by the Performance Metrics Smart List.
As part of this enhancement, we have created a “OWP_Default Merit” member in addition to the “OWP_No Merit” member in this Smart List. By entering rates into Default Merit Rate, ANY Employee who does NOT have an assignment to OWP_Performance will get the default rate applied starting on their OWP_Merit Month assignment. The key point being to have #Missing in the OWP_Performance account, so you don’t have to create a fake data load or a rule to generate a dummy assignment to effectively get to a “Default” rate for any employee who should get the default merit rate.
