Should a user always see the tabs (e.g. 'me,' my team etc) above the Navigator Icons and Quick Actions

Hi Guys

Wondering if anyone can answer whether a user should always see the group heading tabs when in News Feed Layout e.g. Me, my Team, My Workforce? We have a group of colleagues who only have one group - 'Me' and this seems to mean they don't get the heading tab - 'Me' - see screenshot. One day it was there and the next it had gone and hasn't returned.... wondering if this is design, as soon as I create another group the tabs do appear. Anyone know a way to customise so the tabs are always present regardless of how many there are?
