Dynamic dropdown at header or footer level

Hello,

I am creating an application that needs something like a  language drop down on its header. So I thought of adding it to shell so its available throughout the application. What i did is i added a single select option at the header area with languages value as en key as English for say. assigned data to a variable and added event to single select value change. When i changed the option added a module function to change the window language. and finally navigate to index.html.  The application I have designed is based on flow variables and cannot access any middle page without
