Internal Supplier Profile Change Workflow - Route to Custom Role for Approval

Looking to configure the Internal Supplier Profile Change workflow. Client would like it to route to a custom role that a user has, however, looking at the options during rule configuration do not show the ability to choose a custom role (unlike, say, HCM workflows).  The options are to route to Approval Group, seeded roles (i.e., Supplier Manager), or worker's user name.

Is it possible to route this workflow to a custom role built specifically for this workflow or is it best to rely on Approval Group?
