Linking in Excel

Linking in Excel

Content

Hello,

We are utilizing Essbase pulls in an Excel tab and then creating a separate tab to create our published reports that link to a specific cell in the Essbase tab. If I zoom in on a particular line item in the Essbase tab, that has the effect of pushing all the existing line items down. I would expect that on the report tab that the links that were created back to the Essbase tab would all adjust down so they are still pointing to the same line items on the Essbase tab.

This seems to work randomly. I have Excel files where the linked cells do not move when I zoom in on the Essbase tab and Excel files that adjust down accordingly. I'm not sure what options need to be selected to allow for the adjustments to occur. I've selected/de-selected Suppress Rows, Enable Essbase Format String, Preserve Formula, Use Excel Formatting, to no avail.

Howdy, Stranger!
