Benefits/Earnings Rates by Union Code?

In our organization, the rates for benefit options vary by union code.

For example, for medical/dental benefits you typically have options like Employee Only, Employee + Spouse etc. If positions with 2 different union codes select the Medical Employee Only option, 2 different rates would apply. 

We are thinking of enabling employee-job granularity, and will put our positions in the employee dimension. Since this setup includes the Union Code dimension, can the rates be assigned by union code? If not, would we have to concatenate the union code in the options (e.g. UC01-Employee Only, UC02 - Employee only etc)?
