Undo an auto match in TM

What is the best possible way to undo a past auto match?

Hi,

 

Is there any way to undo a completed auto match process. One possible way is to delete the transactions from either of the data sources (source or sub) and transaction from other side would go to unmatched. But is there any other better way to achieve that? Another way I can think of is to find the timestamp of the auto match from Jobs page and come back to Matched transaction page, filter the matched items based on date and time range, select all filtered ones, and click unmatch. This is also not a very convincing move
