It is possible to modify the price of a purchase order line after receiving the material and adjusting the cost of the item.

 

Example.

 

I have PO  with  1 Item line.  for  1000 UN     5$/U     reference price
 

The material reception is done.  for 5$   the unit cost is 5$/U.     the PO is closed to reciving now.

 

i have in my inventory valuation    Item A  for 5$

 

I  will close AP and AR.  and the month. 

 

During this time it may be that this material is consumed in a work order or it cannot be.

 

 2 o 3  month after, the invoce arrive to company with the Real item price  8 $/U.
