Any way to hide cells in a Form?

Is there any way that individual cells can be hidden in a Form?

Hi,

Is there any way or workaround to hide individual cells in a form?

For example a total row, where I have percentages, or text entry will give a spurious number, so I need to hide it.

Currently I am using Validation rules, and setting all vales including zero as black, so it hides the text. This works OK but the resulting form is ugly because there are large black cells here and there (see attached image). I would prefer to set the text to background color but that doesn't seem to be an option.
