Oracle lease tied to Asset

I am working with a customer who is currently managing various types of leases; operating leases, finance leases and rent leases. Some of the leases originate from a contract/purchase order from the Purchasing module. How do we tie an asset being created through that process to a leased asset? Is there a way to tie these together in a systematic way?
