Can the acquisition of rights on an accrual absence plan stop during the employee's absence ?

Case scenario : An employee acquires 3 days per month on absence plan A. However, while the employee is absent (has submitted specific absence types 1 and 2), s/he should not be cumulating rightsContent
Case scenario:
An employee acquires 3 days per month on absence plan A. However, while the employee is absent (has submitted specific absence types 1 and 2), s/he should not be cumulating rights.
At the moment, HR has to adjust the rights manually to remove any days that have been accrued during that employee's absence. Note that this is during specific absences, not all of them.
Is there any formula or method in the tool to address this business need ?
