FCCS migration consideration

Hi all

 

Does any of you have a white paper / official document which state best practice for a migration from one environment to another?

We have an application in TEST which we are planning to move to PROD, but the TEST application has one extra Custom Dimension while production has only one Custom Dimension. 

I am unsure if we need to create it first in PROD or if it will migrate without issues. {It is not an extended Dimensionality application}.

If someone has such a document that would be great.
