Approval Rules and missing Representatives

Hi,

Can anyone confirm my thinking is correct or if not, point me in the right direction. On one approval task we have several different rules with a number of different conditions. In the List Builder they are each set to look for one particular Representative type and then move on to other approvers. If there is no Representative present on the relevant employee's record it would appear to just skip that line and move on to the next defined approver it can find. Is it correct that it will do that ?

In looking at some documentation I think I can see a way to add a condition to each of the rules to say if that particular type of Representative is null then provide an alternative type. But with multiple approvers per rule, would I therefore need to add a null condition to each of the existing rules and then create a new version of each rule to give the alternative type of representative plus all the rest of the approvers?

Howdy, Stranger!
