Ability to show an alert/warning while pick release manually if Scheduled Ship Date is beyond 7 days

We have a particular requirement. The Warehouse team can only pick release orders which are scheduled for 7 days. For any orders if the Scheduled ship days is beyond 7 days then the user should get an alert or warning notification. Is this possible.
