Best method to duplicate a free-form cube from one pod to another pod.

We are needing to create an exact duplicate of one of our production free-form in one pod to another pod to run processes in parallel. We have a new system being developed and they are running it in parallel and need a location to load the data to compare and contrast the two systems.

My questions is what is the best way to create the new free-form cube? The cube will be in a different pod, but will be in the production environment.  Should I just try to migrate a snapshot from the original cube to the new pod or should I attempt to use the clone process?  Does the snapshot include the data?
