What does the Default WIP Supply Value for Component do?

In FSM > Manage Item Structure Type Details, we have a check box 'Default WIP Supply Value for Component'.

What does it do -

  • Default the WIP Supply Type from Item level ie., from Item > Specifications > Manufacturing > WIP Supply Type

OR

  • Default the WIP Supply Type from the Parent Item to its Component Item?
