Project Forecast horizontal periodic view

Have been asked a number of times whether the Forecast Lines screen can have the periods set out horizontally. 

If the above is not possible, is there a way to update the Forecast period ADFdi to show the periods horizontally instead of vertically again similar to the budget ADFdi. 

This has been an issue for 3 clients so far as when updating a forecast with 20 or more resources in a spreadsheet that cannot be filtered, it becomes unwieldy.
