Can we get Planned orders from Rank 2 Source Organization if 'Create Supply' is set as No for Rank1

Summary:

We have a requirement where On hand, POs and In-transit shipments will be loaded at DC1 (Distribution Center 1) and additional Distribution Centers have now come into picture.


Is there a possibility that we can use the existing Supplies at DC1 such as On hand, POs etc but no new Planned orders are generated at DC1. Instead further demands (after consuming supplies at DC1) should be met from DC2.


We tried with 'Create Supply' attribute as No at DC1 so the existing supplies are getting consumed, but the remaining demand is left unmet.


Is there any possibility we can achieve this requirement?
