What's the best way to model a sales cube with daily data for a pre-built module application

Hello, My client requires loading the company's daily sales into Planning. It currently has a pre-built application (Financials). I have thought of building a dimension of days that would have Day 1 to Day 31, with parents of weeks and fortnights. But I think it would prevent me from applying the capabilities of Predictive Planning and now IPM because it is not the time dimension for Planning. Is it possible that I can handle all the calendar detail in the period dimension? Any suggestion? I was thinking of creating a hierarchy of weeks and days and then mapping it to
