Business Case: We have two different supply plans(MPS), one plan is driven by Forecast and other by Sales Orders. In both plans, the demand (Forecast or sales order) will be in one warehouse whereas Supply will be in another warehouse. In both plans, supply plan is going to recommend planned orders(Type Transfer) to transfer stock from the place of supply to the place of demand. In the first supply plan the planned orders would be pegged to forecast and in the second plan, planned orders would be pegged to Sales Orders.
