Associate Serial Number to Primary Item in work order via API

Hello Team,

I would like to understand about ways in which I can associate Primary Item Serial Number to Work Order via API.

I have created a work order for an Item having Serial Number generation criteria as "Predefined"

Due to this, I am getting the tab to add Serial Number while creating work order.

I want to associate Serial numbers to the Primary Item in WO via API, but when I use "11.13.18.05/workOrders/<<WO Number>>/child/WorkOrderSerialNumber" API, i am getting this error:

The serial number <<Serial Number>> is not valid for the product and organization. (WIE-4425219)

Is there any solution for the same?
