OIC in App Extension

Summary: Hello, I am trying to build an app extension where few of the setups are not available like segments in Chart of Accounts. I believe we cant use BIP reports in rest format ( https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?_afrLoop=374526527216694&id=2304629.1&_afrWindowMode=0&_adf.ctrl-state=suw1dyhr1_29)

I want to check if we can connect from Visual Studio App extension. I remember reading a blog where Shay had mentioned it was possible via a work around but I am unable to find the same. if anyone can share that blog or guide on how to connect OIC at service connection as only authentication mechanisms available are none & Oracle cloud account
