Controlled Budget Check Error for Advisory Budgets

Summary:

We are using only Advisory Budgets at Project level.

After Project Manager we have an automation that extends the project End date as per need.

During the extension period all costs are failing Budgetary Control in Purchasing or Payables even if there is enough budget

This is happening because the created Controlled Budget (CB) has an end date equal to the initial project end date.

If we re-baseline the budget, with same budget details, the costs are not failing the Budgetary Control because the CB end date was extended as well during the re-baselining phase.

Question:

Is the correct behavior to fail the budgetary control if we only have Advisory budget and enough budget?
