How to do mass addition of new role for Supplier contacts

We have added a new role and want to add the new role for all the existing supplier contacts. Manage Supplier User Roles setup will take care of assigning the new role for the new supplier contacts. How do I update the existing supplier contacts? We have 1000 plus supplier contacts.
