Final Approval Notification in CPQ

Is there a way to suppress the Final Approval Notification that goes to the quote creator, when the quote does not actually go through an approval process. Only certain quotes go out for approval if they meet certain criteria, others are automatically approved and do not go out for approval because it did not meet the criteria for approval. A notification to the quote creating is being sent to the quote creator letting them know that there quote is approved, when it should be suppressed because it did not need approval.
