Discount based on Sum of Line Item Qty that belong to the same group

Hello,

We have the below interesting requirement from out client. Th requirement is to apply discount based on Sum of Sales Order Line Item Qty that belong to the same item group. Please let me know if there is a way to implement a solution. Thank you.


Let's Say there are 5 Items

Item1

Item2

Item3

Item4

Item5


Item1, Item2,Item3 and Item4 belong to one group.


and Sales Order is created with the below items


Item1, Item2,Item3,Item5.


Now the requirement is to apply a discount on Item1, Item2 and Item3 ONLY.

Not on Item5 since Item5 doesn't belong to that group.
