How to handle discontinuation process for limited edition items which does not require stat forecast

Summary:

We have few items that are limited edition, and generally as soon as these items are created, their forecast is discontinued on planning, as the engine generated forecast are not reliable for the limited edition items. The issue we face is that though these items are discontinued, in reality we will continue getting shipments and orders will be placed by customers throughout for a few days/months.

Because of this, the forecast that was discontinued is regenerated back with new orders being created. We would like to handle this in a way that no forecasts are generated on the item even if we have shipments.
