What volumes of sourcing rules and Assignments will oracle support ?? Any proven use cases

Summary:

One of the customer is having more than 2 million items and does not maintain categories and having 20 inventory orgs in multiple geographies. Each item can be sourced from multiple suppliers. we will end up minimum 40 Million Assignment sets (which we want to avoid and tedious job). Is there any use case like this or implemented before.
